Anonymous asked: What's your opinion on Doctor 11? I've only watched the first season with him, and while I was really into a few of the episodes, ( The Van Gogh episode killed me!) the season as a whole really didn't do much for me. I kept thinking " This would be so much better if it was still David Tennant"... does it get better? Am I being too hard on Matt Smith?
oh my god, this opens such a can of worms for me. i loved loved LOVED david tennant. like still cry like a bitch every time i see the beach scene with rose. i had such a hard time with matt because a) the fuck, dude? you aren’t 10. BRING BACK 10. and b) because he played it a little too campy for me at first. though while i’ve never learned to love him the way i loved 10, it does get better, and honestly, the writing seems to be better with 11 than it was with 10. plus he gets to be badass a lot, which is a good time. but yeah, that van gogh episode, heartstrings pulled. soooo good.
